The Eelectron SFBOA17-4 is the OL-U surface mounting box, D17 version, in Helvetia white. It lets an OL-U KNX device — SO08A01KNX, SO04L02KNX-x, SO08L02KNX-x, TO04A01KNX, HO04A01KNX or MO04A01KNX-x — be installed on a wall with no flush box behind it: the box is screwed to the surface, the device and its metal frame mount inside, and the normal key set and PO71 cover frame finish the front.
It is the answer for retrofits, solid masonry, glass or stone partitions, exposed-conduit installations and temporary or rented spaces where cutting a 2-module box in is not an option. The D17 designation is the shallow (17) or deep (25) version of the box; choose the deeper one when the bus cable enters from the surface or when a conduit fitting needs room.
Order it in the colour of the cover frame it will carry: -1 white, -3 black, -4 Helvetia white, matching the painted plastic frames and key sets. One box per device.
