The Eelectron PS00D04KNX is a 1280 mA KNX power supply with integrated choke for heavily loaded lines: large hotel floors, lines with many display panels or valve actuators, or segments where two 640 mA units would otherwise be needed. It delivers 30 V DC SELV to the bus, and two PS00D04KNX can share a line if placed at least 200 m apart.
The 4-module unit has LEDs for bus voltage and current level, a reset function, and is specified from -30 to +70 °C, so it can be installed in unheated technical rooms. Mains input is 180–264 V AC.
The higher output current allows a line to be fully populated with power-hungry participants such as room controllers with displays, valve actuators and IP devices without a second supply, and the current LEDs give an immediate indication of how much headroom remains. When two units are used on one line the 200 m separation keeps their internal chokes from interacting. As with every KNX supply, the unit should be installed by a licensed electrician and fed from a dedicated breaker in the distribution board.
