The Eelectron PM00A00IRI is a 1-module KNX infrared interface for the Eelectron PM-series energy meters. It clips beside a PM10E02IRE, PM30E01IRE or PM30E02IRE meter, reads the meter through its IR port and publishes energies, powers, tariffs and alarms as 52 KNX objects. This keeps the MID-certified meter untouched (no bus wiring to the metering head) while the KNX system gets live consumption data for dashboards, load management and tenant billing.
The interface is bus-powered and selects a single-phase or three-phase profile in ETS according to the meter connected. It is the simplest way to add sub-metering of a hotel floor, apartment or plant feed to a KNX installation.
Installation consists of fitting the interface against the meter's infrared window, connecting the bus and selecting the meter profile in ETS; no settings are changed on the meter itself, so its MID seal and certification remain intact. The objects can be read cyclically or on change and are typically mapped to a visualization, to logic blocks for load shedding, or to a cloud connection via the IPSBA01KNX MQTT client. Typical profiles include total and per-tariff active energy import and export, reactive energy, active/reactive/apparent power, voltage and current where the meter provides them, and the alarm objects can flag communication loss with the meter so a missing reading is never mistaken for zero consumption.
