The Eelectron IN00S01IPI is a KNX IP interface with KNX IP Secure, giving ETS and visualization clients access to a KNX TP line over the LAN through up to 8 simultaneous tunneling connections. Tunnels are encrypted with AES-128 when Secure mode is enabled in ETS, which is now expected on commercial and hospitality projects where the KNX network shares infrastructure with IT.

The device is powered from the bus (about 20 mA), takes its address by DHCP, Auto-IP or static setting, and occupies a single DIN module. It is the simplest way to add remote programming and a supervision link to a line without using a router.

Each tunneling connection has its own individual address assigned in ETS, so several technicians or software clients can work on the line at once. The interface is also the recommended link for supervision software that needs reliable, encrypted access to the bus from the building LAN, and it can be left in programming or operational mode without any effect on the installed devices. For topologies where telegrams must cross between lines over the IP network, the router version IN00S01RIP is used instead.
