The Eelectron FOXXA01-5555 is the metal mounting frame for double 55+55 plates, part of the OL-U mounting system. OL-U devices and plates never screw directly to the wall box: a metal support is fixed to the box first, the device or wiring insert is screwed to that support, and the cover frame then hooks or snaps onto it. This part is that support for two 55 x 55 mm (German standard) wiring devices under a PO55A55xx double cover frame.
Multi-position plates need the two or three positions aligned exactly, which is what this one-piece frame guarantees: it spans the coupled boxes, carries the OL-U device and the wiring inserts on fixed centres, and gives the long plate hooks on both ends.
