The Eelectron BI04F01KNX is a 4-channel DIN-rail binary input for KNX that brings conventional pushbuttons, switches, door and window contacts and motion detectors onto the bus from the distribution board. Inputs can be set for short runs (up to 30 m (98 ft)) or long runs (up to 100 m (328 ft)) with end-of-line resistor supervision, which lets the module watch magnetic contacts and detectors with a tamper-aware level of safety that plain inputs do not offer.

It does more than switching: all 4 inputs can be reconfigured as analog NTC probe inputs to publish temperatures or run a complete 2-stage PI thermostat, two inputs can host plug-in SM03E01ACC (CO₂ + temperature) or SM03E02ACC (VOC/eCO₂ + temperature) smart sensors, and 10 logic blocks plus a pulse counter are available for metering and interlock tasks. Typical uses are hotel rooms, offices and retrofits where existing low-voltage wiring already terminates in the panel.
