The RPTF2-PT1000 places a PT1000 element inside a 50 mm (1.97 in) black plastic sphere to measure radiant (globe) temperature, giving a better picture of perceived comfort than air temperature alone.

It hangs from the ceiling on a 1.5 m (4.9 ft) PVC cable, placing the measuring point in the occupied zone of halls and high spaces. It covers -5 to +60 °C (23 to 140 °F) and is rated IP54/65.
