The KNX-GW2-RS232-RS485 sends and receives serial commands from KNX through both an RS232 (D-Sub 9) and an RS485 port. Typical uses include controlling AV receivers, projectors or HVAC units, with around 1,200 commands stored in the device.

The gateway occupies 6 DIN-rail modules and is configured with the arcus KNX-SERIAL-GW-II PC software over USB Type B. It needs a 9-30 VDC auxiliary supply or USB power, and KNX is galvanically separated from the serial side.
