Like the rest of the PM series it carries an infrared port so the PM00A00IRI interface can bring its readings onto the KNX bus.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe CT ratio is set on the meter, so one model covers a wide range of installations; energies, powers and tariff registers are then available to the KNX system for monitoring and load management.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe meter is wired through three current transformers sized for the feed, with the voltage reference taken directly from the three phases and neutral; the programmed CT ratio scales the display and the values passed to the KNX interface. Installation is by a licensed electrician, and the CT secondaries must never be left open while the primary is energized. With PM00A00IRI the readings are available to KNX for monitoring, load shedding and reporting. Because the current transformers can be chosen for the actual feed, the same meter covers sub-distribution boards from a few hundred amps down to small plant feeds, and the primary circuit does not need to be routed through the meter, which simplifies installation on existing switchgear.
